Shujaa recently participated in the Amsterdam sevens tournament where they lost in the Cup finals.

The shujaa team comprised of inexperienced players and Head Coach Benjamin Ayimba was impressed with his team's perfomance.

The Kenya rugby sevens team is expected to take part in Roma sevens. We caught up with Benjamin Ayimba and he had this to say.

“Roma sevens is a little bit tricky because we do not have money. We are going to struggle and see if we can get the money for the tournament.”

“We have the means to reach there thanks to Kenya Airways but the upkeep money is what we require now.”

Ayimba said they will try to find money and if they get, then Kenya sevens will participate in the Roma 7s which will take place a few days from now.
