Managing Director – Frontiers sports TransAfrica media, Maggie Ireri gives an update of the upcoming Safari 7s tournament that is scheduled to take place in the first weekend of October.
“We were appointed by a marketing agency for KRU a few weeks ago. In preparation for this particular role, we decided to do some research with the fans that attend the rugby events, “Maggie said.
TransAfrica Media recently signed a partnership deal with Kenya Rugby Union and they will play a big role that shall see them focus on Marketing, research, public relations and sponsorships.
“We wanted to understand them because at the end of the day there is a technical element of the game which is the match but the fans come there for a reason and the safari sevens that is coming up over the weekend is going to be attended by quite a number of fans. “
“My role today is just to share with you the fans profile which is very interesting especially to sponsors because at the end of the day the sponsors would also want to engage with the fans,” Maggie Ireri concluded.
Over the years, we have seen the tournament drawing large crowds to the stadium and this year we expect the same. Rugby fans from different regions across the country are expected to turn out in large numbers for the Safari 7s.
