The South Coast Pirates RFC which is based at Ukunda/Diani, have appointed Kenny Andola as their new coach.
Kenny Andola will take charge of the team from November 2015.
Due to other commitments Kenny will share time between Nairobi and the coast but will spend at least 10 days per month with his new team.
Following the news Kenny said “I am extremely humbled at this wonderful gesture and opportunity to be part of the Pirates family. The journey is really interesting regarding the potential that the Club has and for the entire South Coast, and Coast in general. The challenge is great and I look forward to it. Of great essence will be to have a great club culture with a good feeder system throughout the region that taps the best talents through a set pathway. That will be our bare minimum on the road to a championship side”.
The South Coast Pirates chairman, George Barbour was delighted with Andola’s appointment .
He said "The appointment of Kenny Andola is a massive step forward for the Club and we all need to give the new coaching staff and current players all the support we can muster for a very bright and successful new season. His appointment follows a very successful one day coaching session with UR7’s which saw 30 players turn out on the beach. The management, supporters and players give a very warm welcome to Kenny”
