Shujaa have bagged 10 points after losing at the plate semi final.

Kenya Vs Argentina (7-31) Pool D

Shujaa lost their first match against Argentina going down 31-7 at Full time. Pan Africa Strathmore Leos’, Billy Odhiambo scored Kenya sevens only try of the match. Veteran Lavin Asego had a successful conversion.

Kenya Vs Scotland (19 -14) Pool D
Kenya sevens second match was against Scotland on 6th Feb at 6:42am. This time Shujaa did not disappoint. This was Felix Totty’s first win in the HSBC world rugby 7s series as Kenya sevens Head Coach.

Kenya Vs Samoa (28-14) Pool D
Our final Pool D match was against Argentina at 9:54 am. Kenya went into the match as underdogs having lost 29 and won 3 in the past 31 matches against Manu Samoa. Shujaa comfortably dispatched Samoa 28-14 to advance to Cup Quarter Final.

Kenya VS South Africa (5-19) Cup Quarter Final
Statistic heavily favored South Africa who went into this match topping the HSBC world rugby 7s series. It was a tough test for Shujaa as the lost 19-5 to the Blitzbokke having had a 5-0 lead courtesy of Michael Wanjala’s try. The loss relegated Shujaa to Plate Semis

Kenya V Australia (5-21): Plate Semi
Australia got this party right as they upset Kenya to reach the Plate Finals. Pan Africa Strathmore Leos’ young scrum half; Michael Wanjala was at it again as he scored Shujaa’s only try. Asego kicked the conversion wide. From that point on, Aussie went rampant and won 21-5.
