All seemed lost for the team from South Africa (Lions) four years ago when they were relegated from Super Rugby after finishing lat the bottom of the South African teams which caused them to miss the 2013 season.
The Lions beat the Highlanders 42-30 at Ellis Park in Johannesburg and got their ticket to their first ever Super Rugby finals.
The Hurricanes who have gone for 200 minutes without conceding a try, saw off the chiefs in the other Semi final match to advance to the final.
Now, the Lions will take on Hurricanes in the Super Rugby final at Westpac Stadium New Zealand on 6th August 2016 at 9:35am Kenyan time.
Hurricanes go into this match as favorites since the last time the two sides met, Hurricanes beat Lions 50 -17 at Ellis Park.
