Sigalagala were crowned as the champions of the Nationals Rugby tournament for Polytechnics and Institutes that was played at Hamisi Secondary school in Mombasa.

Sigalagala beat a stubborn Kitale Institute side 12-5 in the finals. On their way to the final, Sigalagala registered a narrow win over Kiambu Institute while Kitale were 15-0 winners over Kabete Institute in the other semi final.
