Kenya sevens assistant coach Mr Paul Amunavi Murunga looks forward to Kenya sevens emerging victorious at the Men's rugby Olympics games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Speaking to Shujaapride.com from Brazil on how he anticipates the tournament to be, Coach Paul Murunga said “Top twelve best world teams, the prestigious Olympics nature and being the first one for rugby is actually the toughest of all tournaments. ”
Kenya will tackle New Zealand, Great Britain and Japan in the pool matches. Coach Murunga admits that lot has been done and the players are able to change tactics according to how the game will be.
The Menengai Cream Homeboyz tactician hopes Shujaa will stick their strong points of the game for it worked better for them in last season's HSBC World Rugby sevens series that even saw them win the inaugural Singapore sevens.

“The biggest challenge in the tournament is winning pool game first, because all the teams in any pool are the same teams that have equal opportunity to win the tournament and are very strong teams.”
Kenya sevens preparations for the Rugby Olympic games started way back focusing on the big games that are with them right now.
“A lot of the work was done six weeks ago with conditioning and field workouts in Nandi hills. We polished on most of our plays defense and tactical approach for the Great Britain, New Zealand and Japan games.”
Kenya sevens' Physiotherapist (Lamech Francis Bogonko) and Strength and Conditioning coach ( Geoffrey Kimani ) have done a good job ensuring the boys are all fit for the Rio matches. None of the squad members is injured.
