All Blacks star Sonny Bill Williams has been ruled out of rugby action for six to nine months after suffering an injury in New Zealand's first match at the 2016 Rio Olympic games which New Zealand ended up losing to Japan.
As a result of injuring his achilles, Sonny Bill Williams will miss the Bledisloe Cup , Rugby Championship, the All Blacks end of year tour and there is also a possibility that he will miss the Super Rugby season until next year May (2017).
Williams had recently signed a three year deal with Super Rugby side Blues and he might be replaced in the All Blacks Rugby Championship squad by Chiefs center Seta Tamanivalu , Anton Lienert-Brown or Charlie Ngatai.
