Lameck Dunde led his team to a memorable win by scoring the winning try for Impala against Homeboyz at the cup final of the 2016 Kabeberi sevens final.

After scoring the winning try, Impala’s captain Lameck Dunde could not hide his joy after skippering a side that broke a ten year trophy drought as well as scoring the winning try.

“This is a very big achievement for us after all those years and I just lack words to express how much we feel right now but I attribute the win to the entire team and management,” said Dunde.

Impala’s winger Derrick Mayar who scored both tries for Impala by full time was finally at peace and excited as he was also awarded with the Most Valuable Player title after such a brilliant performance. “Coming into this game I only asked God for just two things only; just two tries and He gave me so am just speechless, He surely heard my prayers,” said Mayar.
