Shujaa head coach Innocent Simiyu believes the boys are ready to shrug off the cold weather having acclimatized in under three training sessions at the Alcobendas Municipality Grounds in Madrid ahead of the first tournament of Madrid cup this weekend, ‘Namcos’ keen to achieve a good day one in office on his first duty returning as Shujaa boss in 2019 September.

Shujaa team manager Eric Ogweno believes the 15 weeks and a week in Madrid to acclimatize will pay off this weekend when Kenya meets three of the world rugby series core teams while USA is a confirmed Tokyo Olympics opponent.

“We have had three good training sessions and a captain’s run here in Madrid prior to match day one and I believe that is enough for the boys to acclimatize to the new environment. Looking forward to a good performance on day one of the tournament,” Shujaa team manager told Shujaa Pride.
