Meanwhile Kenya Lionesses will hope to build on the time extension in preparation for the maiden Womens Rugby world cup, now postponed from September this year to 2022.
Lionesses finished second behind South Africa and were previously slated to play Colombia in a match set to reward the winner with a slot in the Repechage tournament where only the winner will qualify for the world cup.
According to a statement by World Rugby on Tuesday, the global competition will take place on a later date owing to challenges caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
“The recommendation will be considered by the Rugby World Cup Board and World Rugby Executive Committee on 8 and 9 March respectively,” reads part of the World Rugby statement.
