Mong'ina Beamo is a staunch fan of Top Fry Nakuru Rugby Football club. Mong'ina wrote this poem to psyche up Kenya 15s  (Simba XVs & Kenya "A") and Kenya Lionesses who have assignments this weekend. Simba XVs is away at Harare Zimbabwe while Kenya "A" and Kenya Lionesses host Uganda Cranes and Lady Cranes respectively at the RFUEA.

In a line they stand,
ready to battle it out,
a bit of tension,
a bit of anxiety,
But still passion carved all around their faces,
hope,
of being the best,
they are in some silence.
Clearing up on meditating.
Focus on the game,
looking up to the heavens,
the fans all over,
most with beer cans,
jeering and cheering,
all set for the game.
Singing their compositions out loud,
One big happy family,
playing the game off the field,
calming the place,
some fans silent,
the runs.
lineouts.
the passes,
mauls,
the scrums,
kicks,
the togetherness sculptured from a family,
always together as one,
the rugby family.
