KCB started off on a good note as Janet Midecha was first on the scoreboard to give KCB a 5-0 lead which Philadelphia Olando converted to bring the matters to 7-0.
The shambles of a failing campaign for the bankers was encapsulated in the first half with Mwamba’s center Celestine Nava Masinde scoring a hatrick of tries and Janet Owino showing her prowess on conversion kicks.
There second half was quite a lackluster show between both sides. Kenya lionesses international Janet Owino extended Mwamba’s lead with a superb penalty try after speed star Sinaida Aura had been dangerously tackled by Millicent Opala who was immediately sent to the bin by referee Victor Oduor.
The match ended 26-7 in favor of Kulabu (Mwamba) who needed to win an extra match more than KCB in round 5 of the KRU 10s aside women’s league.
KCB’s winger, Janet Okello of Mwamba was the league’s top try scorer.
Mwamba’s Janet Owino was the top point’s scorer.
Celestine Masinde of Mwamba was round 5’s most valued player.
Philadelphia Olando was the league’s most valued player and she was handed an individual accolade by Ragahouse.com founder, Mr. Patrick Korir.
