Simba XVs (Kenya fifteens) is hosting Spain on Saturday 18th July 2015 at the RFUEA grounds in Nairobi. Spain arrived in the country on Wednesday ahead of this international test match. Santiago Santos wants a narrow win.
Spain’s Head coach Santiago Santos said they have been watching how Kenya fifteens have been playing through video tapes and he is hopeful they will escape with a narrow win.
“I have been studying Kenyan game through video tapes. We are working to win the game but we expect it to be a really tough game, a very equal game but of course we want to win. We expect the match to end with a very short score. Generally Kenya is a Very nice country, very nice people and we are happy to be here.” Spain’s Head coach Santiago Santos said.
Spain’s Captain Jes’us Recuerda expressed his worries for his team mates concerning the altitude that in most cases affects their game play.
“The altitude is affecting us even to train and we cannot breathe very well though Kenya is very attractive and on Sunday we are going for a safari around. I think the world ranking is not very well representing the Kenyan game because we have been watching their games and they play really really hard. We expect it to be a quick game, it will be a wide play and it’s an official match which everyone wanted to play. We have a quick game and Kenya also has a quick game so definitely for the public it’s going to be a very nice match to watch.” Spain’s captain Jes’us Recuerda said.
