Amy Perrett who become the first woman assistant referee in the history of Super Rugby when she officiated in the game between Melbourne Rebels and South Africa’s Stormers late last month, will officiate at the Rio Olympic games.

The 26 year old referee from Australia was the referee at the Women’s Rugby World Cup final.

Perrett who is also a professional rugby referee, came through the ranks of the Australian Rugby Referees and she hopes doors will open for more women to officiate at the top level of rugby.
