All Blacks winger Julian Savea will start from the bench for this weekend’s Super Rugby Semi-final clash when Hurricanes face Chiefs at Westpac Stadium.

Chris Boyd (Hurricanes head coach) has given captain Dane Coles the opportunity to prove his fitness for the semifinal until match day and Ricky Riccitelli will be on standby for him.

The last time the two sides met was in week nine and Chiefs emerged victorious with a narrow 28-27 win.
