Kenya smashed USA 27-5 in their first match at Tokyo sevens.  Bush Mwale, a brace from Injera, Kayange and Mugaisi scores one try each. This match saw Injera reach 1000 points in his World rugby sevens career as Veteran Asego was stretched off after he picked a minor Injury. This was Shujaa’s first win against Mike Friday.

Kenya sevens faced South Africa at 8:46 am. Kenya sevens had a rough time as South Africa really dominated the game in everything. South Africa had greater possession and ended up winning 26-0. Justin and Chris were blitzbokke’s try scorers as Du Preez had a hatrick of conversions.

Shujaa took on Canada sevens in their last pool C match of Tokyo sevens at 1:20pm . A brace from Homeboyz RFC’s Leonard Mugaisi was not enough as Shujaa lost 26-10 to the Canadians. Amonde was sin binned later in the first half.

Shujaa were relegated to the Bowl quarter finals of Tokyo sevens 2015.
