The Kenya Lionesses team departed for International Invitation Women – Dubai yesterday.
The Kenya Rugby Union Age Grade & Women Rugby Coordinator, Mr Nicholas Aballa Abok believes the Lionesses are in good shape to contest for the title as they look polished and with the inclusion of Sinaida Aura and Enid Auma, the two inject the needed dosage for a title finish.
“Enid Auma is brilliant with high balls and she's good in scrumming. Sinaida Aura on the other hand is one of our best finishers. All this put together including Philadelphia Orlando and Sheila Chajira brilliance in breakdowns and forward play, a good platform will be set that will enable our fire power and brilliant minds (Janet Okello, Diana Awino, Cynthia Camila, Vivian Akumu Celestine Masinde, Grace Adhiambo, Christabel Lindo and Stella wafula) execute, “ Nicholas Aballa said.
The Lionesses will face Tokyo Sankyu Phoenix and France 7s Development on 5th December 2019.They will play the remaining twon pool matches on 6th December against Belsevens and Aruka Queen Kumagaya at 12:20pm and 2:20pm respectively.
