Railway based, Kulabu ladies beat Top Fry Nakuru, University side USIU and Kenya Harlequins at the RFUEA grounds yesterday in the ongoing Kenya Rugby Union Women’s 10s a side league. Mwamba later lost to KCB.

Mwamba vs USIU
Mwamba produced a scintillating attacking display to win 68-0 to USIU ladies. This was the biggest score of the day. Doreen Remour, Celestine Masinde and Janet Owino seemed to be a thorn in USIU’s flesh as they were ruthless to the students.

Mwamba vs KCB
There was a flicker of excitement from the stands when these two sides faced each other as this match was expected to yield an electric atmosphere. It was arguably the match everybody was waiting for and with three minutes into the match, Immah Hopper went over the whitewash and gave KCB the lead.

Electric Philadelphia Olando and speed star Janet Okello “Shebesh” then stretched the lead for the KCB. Camilyne Oyuayo scored Kulabu’s consolation try. High Profiled Referee Victor Onyango blew the final whistle and the match ended 7-22 in KCB’s favor.

Earlier in the day, Mwamba won 24-0 against Kenya Harlequins.

With three wins out of the four matches that Mwamba played yesterday, Kulabu picked 10 points out of the possible 12 in round 4 of the ongoing KRU Women 10s a side league.
